Measure the percentage of eligible visitors who complete one defined conversion during the selected window.
Use this for visitor-to-converter success, with each visitor counted at most once. Use CTR for impression-to-click performance.
What the result means
The rate is the share of eligible visitors who converted at least once. Changes can reflect traffic quality as well as page performance; this calculation alone does not establish a causal improvement.
The formula
(Converted visitors / eligible visitors) * 100
Results are displayed to at most two decimal places. Calculations use the unrounded inputs.

If 120 of 4,000 distinct visitors convert, the visitor conversion rate is 3%.
How to use this calculator
- Define one conversion action and its observation window.
- Count distinct eligible visitors and deduplicate those who converted.
- Check that converters belong to the eligible population.
- Divide converters by visitors and multiply by 100.
Why this number matters
A clear visitor denominator prevents repeated purchase events from inflating the apparent share of people who convert.

- Converted visitors (visitors)
- Distinct eligible visitors who completed the defined action; cannot exceed eligible visitors.
Assumptions and limitations
- This is a unique-visitor rate, not conversions per session or event frequency.
- Cross-device identity, consent loss, and tracking gaps affect both counts.
- Small samples require uncertainty analysis before interpreting differences.
